Emma Brown

Bags building on sophisticated understatement

Emma Brown bags are made to catch the eye but never upstage their wearer. They are companions for every day and occasion, for work, going out, shopping, strolling or being a mum. Which is why some of these tote bags are large enough to hold a pair of loafers in addition to a laptop and toiletry bag. The British designer of the same name in her elected home of Germany loves chic understatement. Her style is urban and luxurious blending German precision and a fine British sense of humour with Italian craftsmanship. She thinks the personal patina that leather bags acquire from use is wonderful.

Easy-Going

The Logan philosophy promises luxurious ease: It is perfect for daily use, easy to combine, balanced in terms of cut, shape and heel, manually produced, very fashionable, at the same time being femininely simple and plain as well as simultaneously unique thanks to striking details – this is what distinguishes Dossobuono’s high-quality women’s shoe line from Italy. Since the 2009 Spring/Summer collection this young Logan Crossing collection has been included in the portfolio. Classical sports style elements are urbanised here and sent out onto the streets. The look is wonderfully witty and also a bit ironically tapered.

Trend flash autumn/winter 2009/10

Colours, Shapes, Fashion Favourites

Dresses are and remain an important key look, also in Autumn/Winter 2009/10. Skirts are growing stronger, worn with opaque tights, i.e. a pleasant, self-evident fashion that meets with broad acceptance. Great prospects for the shoe business: court shoes, boots with all leg heights and widths, lace-ups etc. – shoes are eye-catchers and anything goes!

A comprehensive colour spectrum adds more limitless options. GDS groups the new colours into three themes. The close-to-black series Obsession features, amongst other things, dark blood red and reddish violets. Collected presents a colourful picture in glaring complementary contrasts and bold patterns. Balance presents a neutral and natural face and is the domain of the premium labels: these are colours that are perfect for setting off that first-class finish and that look fantastic on high-quality materials. Key materials here, for instance, are soft smooth leather and suede, fine animal skins, furs and knits. The Balance style is very sophisticated or really rustic.
