design attack: Belana Ric Batu

Do stones hold healing powers? German designer and precious stone expert Beate Tschirch from Wiesbaden invites you to dip into the harmonious beautiful ideal world of jewellery for women and children from her melodious-sounding label Belana Ric Batu. What’s special about her pieces is that they are not only spiritual but also very chic and modern with fun and appealing names. The stones used are energy-tested and on request can be worked into individual pieces of jewellery especially tailored to the wearer’s needs to assist them in their everyday routine.

Commenting on her work Beate Tschirch says: “Every piece contains the essence of ancient knowledge – from crystal healing and astrology through to traditional healing methods – combined with the modern look of the 21st century.” For instance, "Grips von Knirps" (Brain of a Kid), a children’s bracelet made of fluorite, is said to boost powers of concentration while "Einsatz in Manhattan" (Mission in Manhattan) worn on the wrist of a businesswoman will help her successfully master her tough daily routine.

Beate Tschirch finds her stones at trade fairs and on trips. When at home in her workshop she then combines and works the semi-precious stones, silver beads, crystal and polished glass beads, amulets and pendants according to different themes. The rarity of some of the stones makes many of her pieces of jewellery one-offs and identical pieces are usually only made in limited editions. Recommended retail prices for children’s jewellery range from between Euro 25 and 39. Pieces for women cost between approx. Euro 69 and 250.
