Wellness Collections at GDS
Green Agave serves as a Signpost
Wellness is far more than just a trend. More and more people are seeking both aesthetic and functional products – thereby making the wellness sector one of the largest growth markets of the 21st century. Many shoe manufacturers have already recognised the potential. Today wellness shoes are an integral part of collections aimed at the most varied of target groups and can be found in almost all halls and style universes at GDS. GDS helps trade visitors find their way around: a green wellness icon in the list of exhibitors indicates the suppliers in this segment. Serving as a motif here is a stylised agave.

Robert Mapplethorpe's shockingly beautiful photographs
Robert Mapplethorpe, who was born in 1946 and passed away in 1989, is one of the few artists who truly deserve to be known far beyond the borders of the art world. His art has often been perceived as being shocking or even dangerous. The exhibition shows about 150 photographs covering early Polaroids from 1973 to his final self-portraits from the year 1988, which show marked by illness and hint at his impending death.
