What is essentially necessary? This question gives us a moment’s pause from speculation and the fast pace of life. The tempo of change in fashion is measured:

The familiar is steadily enhanced and modernised through innovation; the new is integrated playfully in established concepts. There is a demand for craftsmanship and distinctive styles, which means attention will always to be given to brands with an authentic history.

The key note is casual – simplicity, motion and lightness are what we look for in clothing, informed by the softness and comfort of omnipresent jerseys. A natural appearance with lively surfaces: that remains the key for textile materials and leather. Cotton voiles, butter-soft leather, and silky or loose-fitting summer tweeds are incorporated in natural designs and draperies.

Minimalist, clear-cut handling of surfaces and shapes sets the scene for a new sportiness. The prevailing mood of casual nonchalance is refreshed and modified by subtle classicism or sportiness. Clarity and classicism add new facets to fragmented fashion: Looks are produced by the combination of perfect individual items and old favourites. Together with narrow silhouettes and tops with short volume, the focus is on the leg and shoe.

Summer colour-tones look familiar, but have new valences compared to the previous season. They have more consistent tonal combinations, and they seem light and tangible. Brightness highlights light colours and materials. Neutrals and pastels open up a large colour space between skin tones and natural greys and beiges. The luminous colours of graphic accents and large prints generate tension; they have the effect of vitamins and energy boosters.
