Biodyn Human Footwear – Wellness Shape
Invisible balance technology for upright posture

Launching the young shoe label Biodyn Human Footwear the German comfort shoe company Biodyn GmbH & Co. KG from Ermengerst now targets a clientele that so far never considered functional footwear for either aesthic or career reasons. The special feature here is the patented balance technology incorporated into the soles in such a way that the shoes do not look like utility shoes. A soft heel element from PU foam reduces impact stress on ankle joints by allowing heels to sink deeply into it. While working its way out of this low position foot, leg, bottom and back muscles are activated. The foot moves in a physiologically correct manner. The body “unbends” and posture improves.

Biodyn views itself in the premium segment. 100% of production comes from their own manufacturing site in Germany. Uppers are made from leather and suede sourced in Italy, Germany or Spain. Linings consist of vegetable tanned calfskin, which absorbs and releases moisture fast. The Biodyn collection includes business and casual styles, clogs and sandals.

The new balance technology, biodyn technology inside, is incorporated in the entire collection. For the 2011 Spring/Summer season the last for women’s casual styles was completely revised with substantially lighter outsoles. Furthermore, the line was extended to include sandal styles in those topical nature tones. Recommended retail prices are between EUR 149 for sandals and EUR 199 for the men’s Business Line.
