Perfect vintage
Each Kapworks bag is unique and unmistakeable – thanks to handcrafted leather and combinations of extraordinary skins.
The accessory label Kapworks comprises casual shoulderbags, crossbody bags and business notebook bags for women. All models are made from leather, with a rustic vintage look that owes its visual impact to a special manufacturing method. This method involves a complex tumbling and manual shaping process, impregnation with natural oils and finishing with high-quality waxes, resulting in a unique and pleasant roughness. Each item is therefore truly unmistakeable. The leather comes from one of the oldest tanneries in South Africa.
The autumn/winter season 2012 continues to feature the popular shapes and colours of the summer bags, adding new colours and the use of skins: shades of hazelnut are combined with hartebeest skins, and black and grey leathers with springbok. The functional side of each bag should make it easy to keep them tidy: Numerous inside pockets and extra sections provide ample space for keys, money, cosmetics, smartphones and other small items.
Kapworks Accessories is a special label of Kapworks Modevertrieb GbR. To express their love of South Africa and its people, the founders of this Hamburg-based company, Marcus Jonas and Anke Völker, specialise in the sale of South African collections only. Their principle is very simple: All products are designed and manufactured locally. All Kapworks bags are produced manually in a small workshop in Cape Town.
