It’s no ordinary boot
Snow boots from the Dutch company Snoboot are bound to attract attention: They come in two basic forms, and the large selection of colours offers plenty of leeway for individualism.
Snoboot has of course chosen a very telling name for itself, but these snowboots are also superb attention-getters: with wide-ranging, lavishly drawn designs, numerous colours, detachable fake fur trims and a variety of shoe laces, the selection is vast and offers an amazing number of variations. And yet the collection only has two basic shapes: Mutant High and Mutant Low, i.e. high and low uppers. Laces are tied on the foot, while tapes are tied further up. Tattoo themes, flowers, stamps and rivets provide decorative elements. The outer edge is adorned by a bold flag label. The flat wedge heel is light, and the profile sole is grey.
Anyone who is looking for an eye-catcher for their stores has come to the right company. The target group of this colourful product line includes young women and any women who are young at heart – a clientèle who enjoy surprises in matters of fashion and who attract glances.
Snoboot is based in Epe in the Netherlands. The label is still very young and was only founded in 2011.
An in-house team headed by Dutch designer Rep Ringel covers the entire process, from the first sketch to the artwork, and this is what the company sees as its most unique stylistic feature.
The quality of these boots is described as high and their fit as comfortable. The hard-wearing textile uppers are made from water-repellent synthetic fabrics and are very robust indeed. The inside of a boot is pure wool, which creates a natural feeling of well-being, warming the wearer’s feet in winter and keeping them pleasantly cool in summer. The soles are made of high-quality rubber.
