In hall 2 Birkenstock introduced its trends and designs for the Autumn/Winter season 2017/18 with an extraordinary fashion show.
On all three exhibition days – always every hour on the hour – visitors can watch dance shows highlighting various collection designs on Birkenstock’s catwalk.
step* Trend View: Fashion journalist Karolina Landowski stood in front of an interested crowd when talking about en vogue trends for the Autumn/Winter season 2017/18. Important topics for the upcoming season: breaks and contrasts.
According to Karolina Landowski, one of the key trends for the upcoming season is the topic „hybrids“. Especially the combination of sport and classic is very popular. Highlights are for example designs with sportive soles and classic leg variations.
At the stand of New York label Nine West GDS Trend Detectors Miriam (The Golden Cherry) and Jacqueline Isabelle (right in the picture) explain trends for Autumn/Winter 2017/18 to the reporter team of Sat.1 (German commercial TV station). For the upcoming season the it-label from New York focuses on three major trends: military, modern opulence and clean slate.
Already for the fifth time, members of trade and industry took part in GDS’ Round Table hosted by SchuhMarkt discussing the current situation of the footwear sector. Bottom line: exciting times and plenty of opportunities for the shoe industry.
One highlight of the Social Media Consulting by styleranking was guest talker Alexander Fallier who spoke about advertisements and opportunities in social medias. Being Managing Director of the Munich base online consulting agency achtQuark, Fallier has lots of experience in the field.
In his talk Fallier outlined the wide range of possibilities in advertisements on mobile end devices. When it comes to social media channels he mainly focused on Facebook and Instagram. The certainly attentive audience learned interesting facts about target groups, marketing goals and the implementation of campaigns.
In the course of GDS, Alexander Lauersheimer, Product Manager of Solidus, revealed the shoe label’s bestseller’s new design. The demonstration’s highlight: Germany’s Shoe Princess presented the exclusive sneakers to the audience.
