Speciality: Narrow Lasts
Jochie International B.V. from Gilze in the Netherlands have been making children’s shoes with their famous tried and tested narrow lasts already since 1951. Until 4 years ago the company concentrated solely on the home market. But then they began distributing to their neighbouring countries.Commenting on the move Peter Naebers, Sales Manager Germany, said: “We cautiously sniffed our way across the border as it were and noticed there was also demand in Germany for fashionable shoes with a perfect fit and narrow lasts.” In the meantime they have now have a German showroom in Ratingen and as from the 2009/10 orders season reps Sven Grube and Stefan Hasche will be joining the German sales team – with areas divided according to postcode.

A fair amount has also happened on the product front for the Autumn/Winter 2009/10 round of orders: new here is a complete Sympatex series with all styles now orderable with warm linings and, in response to requests from German retail, also in more sizes: baby shoes are available in up to size 23 while Freaks – the label for older boys and girls – features some styles in up to size 42. The inner soles can be removed from all shoes. Recommended retail prices range between approx. Euro 45 and 139.
