"When you feel better, you look better." This is the philosophy behind the women's shoe collection, Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole—the new label from the US shoe specialist Kenneth Cole Productions. According to company statements, these are "the most comfortable shoes in the world", promising the perfect combination of a comfortable, healthy fit and no-compromise styling.

Every foot is different. With Gentle Souls, a patented process ensures that each style adapts to the shape of the wearer's feet. The flexible soles and shock-absorbing heels are the soul of the shoe and feature cork filler, polyfoam foot beds, cool deerskin inner soles & linings, flex zones and flaxseed cushions. The uppers are also made exclusively with high-grade materials, with the artisan production completing the exquisite quality. Distribution in Germany is handled by CLM Collections in Düsseldorf. The suggested retail prices lie between 170 and 350 Euros. For Spring/Summer 2010 Kenneth Cole will be launching the mens collection - 'The Secret's is in the Sole!'

Kenneth Cole Productions Inc. was founded in 1982 by Kenneth Cole. At the time, the young entrepreneur could not afford a showroom at the New York Shoe Show, so he presented his collection in a truck on the street. Since parking there was only allowed for service providers and film production crews, he quickly changed the name of his company from Kenneth Cole Incorporated to Kenneth Cole Productions and applied for a permit to shoot a film. The title: "The Birth of a Shoe Company". One camera was present at the successful birth—sometimes with film, sometimes without. Cole sold 40,000 pairs of shoes in two and a half days. Today the company produces shoes, fashion and accessories for women, men and kids. Kenneth Cole went public in 1994.
