Fancy, sexy, colourful and happy – this is how US designer Betsey Johnson has been “rocking” the fashion world since the 1960s – her personal favourite is pink and her creativity and enthusiasm are said to be border – and timeless.

As a child Betsey wanted to become a dancer and her love for fancy costumes is still echoed in her fashion today. She established her own company in New York in 1978 and has been building the fashion brand into an internationally successful lifestyle empire encompassing proprietary shoe and accessory lines ever since.

Licensee for the footwear is the US specialist Titan Industries. Among the many prizes awarded to her Betsey Johnson received the ‘The Timeless Talent Award’ from the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 1999 and 2002 saw her being included in the Fashion Walk of Fame on 7th Avenue, the centrepiece of New York’s fashion district.
