Superfit
Growth in Focus

Superfit is the children's line from the Austrian company Legero Schuhfabrik GesmbH and according to company information, their shoes are recommended by physicians and orthopaedists. The collection for Spring/Summer 2010 is based on the topic of growth as a creative linchpin. Nature is the key inspiration for shapes, materials and details, with flowers, butterflies, turtles, fish and jungle wildlife as decorative elements. Khaki, green, beige, brown, burnt red, aubergine and lilac are favoured colours.

The toddler group features soft, chromium-free tanned nappa leather as primary material, combined with canvas. Shoelaces in linen-look and faux cork soles emphasise the look. For girls, trendy women's shoes influence the design throughout all age groups. Low heels are adorned with floral prints. Somewhat higher heels are available for teens. Crucial are the sandals of soft nappa with ankle straps in various widths up to broad ribbons. Plentiful new ballerinas can also be found in the collection, decorated with feminine details such as buckles and rivets. For boys there is brushed leather with two-tone effects and summery white finishes. Light-coloured stitching, artisan elements, rivets, logos, labels, vulcanised soles and iconic boat shoe elements serve as details.

The company was founded in Vienna way back in 1872. Today Legero Schuhfabrik GesmbH has its headquarters in Graz. In 2009 more than 4 million pairs of shoes were sold; almost 4.8 million are projected for 2010. The shoes are manufactured in proprietary production plants in Hungary and Romania, and by suppliers in India, Italy, China and Vietnam.
