Aesthetics and Function Enter a Symbiosis

Italian shoe firm Parabiago Collezioni Srl was founded in 1999 by Giovanna Ceolini, Karlheinz Schlecht and Thierry Rabotin with the conviction fashionable and high-quality shoes must be manufactured with a focus on consumers’ right to a perfect fit. With the Thierry Rabotin label they have succeeded in designing and manufacturing a shoe line that captures us with both looks and excellent wear properties and is described by the company founders as a “synergetic symbiosis of aesthetics and function”.

Up-to-date design meets with functionality here, exquisite materials and meticulous finish go without saying. All leathers are hand-picked, glove-quality nappa, supple suede, even velvet calf, patent leather, metallics and perlatos in smooth and embossed looks all feature in the 2011 Spring/Summer collection.

Colourful, oval peep-toe, Californian-style sling-backs stand on wedge heels measuring up to 8 cm. Sandals come decorated with buttons and straps in bold colours and balance on lightweight, partially covered platform heels. Promising great well-being at every turn are featherweight, flexible ballerinas and lace-up styles with a sacchetto construction.

Effectively embossed metal buckles, sequins, rhinestones and tulle details decorate high-heel sandals and closed/open-sided court shoes with medium-height heels. Pale colour favourites include sand, camel, beige, pearl grey and white. Adding vibrancy are colours like lime, pink, cobalt blue and flame red. Classics include black, navy and dark brown.

Recommended retail prices stand at between Euro 199 and Euro 340.
