Marc O'Polo is synonymous with modern casual fashion in predominantly natural high-quality materials with clear-cut designs. The target group is fashion and quality-conscious individualists, for whom Marc O'Polo offers clothing as well as a complete lifestyle line. The central theme for spring/summer 2011 is "At Ease": The design is inspired by a sense of effortlessness and wellbeing. It's all about experience and discovery, fun and joie de vivre. Typical details from sports and workwear set characteristic accents.

In the women's shoe corner the season opens with soft, unlined summer booties in a casual vintage look and classic lace-ups with a masculine touch. Summer is spent in sandals; the styles are more closed than in past seasons, and anything goes in terms of height – from flats to high heels, with wedges or architectural wooden constructions. Clogs and plateau sandals are key styles, with boot shoes and moccasins covering the casual field. Brown tones and natural cognacs dominate the colour schemes; khaki, indigo and berry set accents. Neutrals such as taupe, off-white and stone round out the palette. Rustic Vacchetta leather and soft milled nubuck leathers are among the preferred materials.

In the men's shoe corner we see sporty casual styles, languidly interpreted classics, boot shoes and chukka boots. The materials feature used finishes that lend the styles a "favourite shoe feel" out of the box. Washed, milled and sporty velour nubuck leathers and calfskin are used. Primary colours include taupe, off-white, chocolate and navy.

Marc O'Polo was founded in 1967 in Stockholm; headquarters have been located in Stephanskirchen since 1997. Though initially the shoe collections were produced under license, Marc O'Polo has handled design, production and sales/marketing autonomously. Marc O'Polo products are currently delivered to approximately 1,200 customers and 80 proprietary stores in Europe and Asia.
