It all began back in 1973 when a young man called Peter Sheppard set up his own business in a tiny shoe store on Little Collins Street in Melbourne. The business grew steadily over the years with Peter Sheppard Footwear now owning not one but several exquisite shoe boutiques in the heart of Australia’s most vibrant cities.

The Peter Sheppard Store in Sydney rubs shoulders with the likes of Chanel and Miu Miu and their exquisite designs. In the Design Gallery on Level 4 of the Westfield Shopping Centre this store effortlessly blends with the elegant atmosphere of the neighbouring stores and exudes a feel for cosmopolitan luxury design with its high-polish, glazed entrance concourse.
The highlight at the store is an almost seven metre long sales counter in purist white placed right in the spacious entrance area. Following on left and right of the Welcome area are the two retail spaces which are arranged symmetrically.

A white pedestal runs around the illuminated waterfall in circles displaying styles of Peter Sheppard’s private label. Classic black pumps in soft suede sit alongside leopard-print ballerinas and red peep-toes with velvet bowties. In addition to all this, a glass surface rises up featuring elegant designs for those special moments in life.
Pillars beset with mirrors reaching up to the ceiling serve as partition elements for what is Australia’s biggest selection of European women’s shoes.
