Atelier do Sapato was born early 2007 when Rense Hekstra, former buyer/designer of Dutch high street chain Invito teamed up with the ambitious owners of Portuguese shoe factory Macosmi. The name Atelier do Sapato literally means shoe workshop and it reflects the respect for the hand labour and craftsmanship of the men and women in the factory.
Being factory and designer owned ensures the utmost care and attention to the development, production and delivery of the Atelier do Sapato products.
