Self-confident and fashion-conscious women who love shoes and look for attractive prices, that’s who. At this New York label this target group can find something for every occasion.

“When their shoes are right then everything else is right for them,” this is how the masterminds behind Nine West sum up what their target group wants. In more detail the target group is described as follows: the label focuses on women aged 25 to 49 who are educated, self-confident and independent, who are seen as fashion pioneers, who love shoes and look for reasonable prices.

Nine West style is sophisticated, feminine and chic, the details refined and effective. The matching bag collection rounds off the range. By its own accounts, the brand offers a well-balanced mix of basics and fashion for the office, leisure and evening, with a reliable fit and dependable quality. Furthermore, the shoes are so comfortable that you can easily walk in them all day. Trends are tracked down early and translated with know-how and passion at lightning speed into good value-for-money items.

In Autumn/Winter 2017/18 the designers draw their inspiration from 80s silhouettes and translate these, with a greater or lesser degree of authenticity, into the Here and Now. Thanks to their dark colours moccasins and booties in neutral colours go perfectly with rugged backgrounds. 90s style grunge meets the elegant attitude of uptown ladies. With materials leather, woollen flannel, suede, textured tweeds, bouclé, velvet and jacquards are used. In terms of colour ruby red, oxblood, onyx, plum and slate tones team with “ultramodern” neutrals like navy, bourbon nuances and clove tones.

Favourite shoe lasts include pointed pumps with conical heels. Booties in textured tweed are reminiscent of laced corset details. There are also booties and pointed peep-toes in floral patterned velvet and jacquards. The line-up also includes a series of slightly modified bestsellers. Innovative padding and greater flexibility increase wear comfort. Handbags with a satchel look come in soft calfskin leather with brushed metal details or polished curb chains. Cross-body bags come threaded with leather thongs.

Nine West was founded in New York in 1978. Today, company HQ and the design team are located on Broadway near the fashion district. In line with typical American scheduling shoes and accessories collections are presented for the Pre-Fall, Fall Holiday, Resort, Spring and Summer seasons. Recommended retail prices stand at between US$ 69 and US$ 200. The company currently delivers to approx. 65 countries worldwide. An expansion drive on the European markets is being given priority.
